Systems Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Provide Help Desk support for a technology system supporting procurement functions. Provide timely assistance to end users, regarding both system and business process questions, escalating issues to the appropriate group as required. Participate in system releases through all phases of the software development lifecycle, including testing, training, roll-out, and end-user support.

Understand the client’s environment and how to translate real world needs into technical specifications to provide customer focused solutions. Develop skills in the design and solutioning of the procurement system while gaining experience in procurement industry. Assist management with ad-hoc data analysis requests as needed. Grow your skills by merging procurement and system support to create impactful changes to improve how we do business. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with customer service

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with data analysis, defect reporting, requirements gathering, and system testing

  • Experience supporting web-based systems

  • Knowledge of data governance principles

  • Ability to multitask and respond to tight deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and be collaborative as part of a team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or 2+ years of experience in managing information systems in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with supporting an IT Help Desk

  • Experience with providing strong customer service

  • Experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, or Ivalua

  • Experience with developing and maintaining detailed technical documentation

  • Knowledge of the procurement industry, including the U.S. federal government contracting industry

  • Ability to learn new software tools and techniques quickly and resolve complex technical issues

  • Ability to communicate with end users in business-friendly and user-friendly language

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, to effectively respond to user queries

  • Possession of excellent troubleshooting skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
