UC Operations Support Engineer

The Opportunity:

As a Unified Communications (UC) Operations support engineer, you'll support our global voice, video, and meetings infrastructure. On our team, you'll be responsible for UC hardware, applications, and general user support for all Booz Allen staff globally. You’ll be offered the opportunity to utilize significant experience in the UC and Information Technology (IT) fields including VoIP, Teleconferencing, VTC, and collaboration technology support. You’ll collaborate with other Booz Allen staff organizations to provide support and technical input on UC technologies throughout the project lifecycle. You’ll work directly with the UC engineering and events teams, and other IT engineers to analyze and resolve site and customer UC issues. You will support the team’s ongoing service delivery improvement efforts and provide input on the overall user experience strategy. You’ll be provided training opportunities to learn new skills, maintain a high level of industry knowledge, and should be able to pass that training on to others. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have: 

  • 3+ years of experience providing Tier I + II UC client support

  • 3+ years of experience working in a direct customer service role, including Executive level real time support

  • 3+ years of experience supporting UC communications solutions including voice, video, meetings, and the supporting infrastructure

  • 3+ years of experience with real time video support

  • 3+ years of experience supporting UC/AV hardware

  • 3+ years of experience working with an enterprise ticketing system

  • Ability to analyze technical data quickly and communicate with others to resolve issues

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams UC services, including Teams rooms

  • Experience supporting Cisco and other AV systems

  • Experience with Cisco CUCM or related VOIP based telephony systems

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
