University - Cybersecurity Consultant

A Day in the Life of a Cybersecurity Consultant at Booz Allen:

Assist with building and growing existing Cybersecurity offerings, deliver client engagements, including marketing and proposal development, delivery, and execution, and work in a team environment. Analyze and craft Cybersecurity strategies for the client base. Study the minds of Cyber enemies so you can fight back. Defend our nation’s infrastructure. Protect the mobile workforce. Help to preserve the safety of our world. These positions can be located in the Washington DC, Virginia, or Maryland.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with security principles, approaches, and technologies in academic or internship environments

-Experience with Java, C#, .NET, or SharePoint development in an academic or professional environment

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Experience with coursework in computer vision or image processing

-Experience with the design and development of an object-oriented system and Web development concepts, including HTML and JavaScript

-Knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies and associated activities

-Knowledge of databases, including SQL or Oracle

-Ability to be self-motivated

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Scheduled to obtain a BA or BS degree in Spring or Summer 2020

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with information security program frameworks, including ISO 27001/2, COBIT, or NIST

-Experience with UNIX and Linux
-Possession of excellent time management and organizational skills

-Pursuing a BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field preferred; pursuing an MS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field a plus

-Pursuing or obtained Security+, CISSP, CISA, or related Certifications a plus
