Salesforce Developer, Lead

The Opportunity:

As a Salesforce technical lead, you will provide leadership to a team of developers to ensure quality, consistency, and velocity of delivery. You will help to refine and champion project-level software development best practices. You will be tasked with identifying opportunities for process improvement, and you will be empowered as an advocate for positive change. You will work closely with system architects to validate solutions and ensure developers maintain adequate awareness of architecture decisions throughout the software delivery cycle. You will play an integral role in solving complex problems, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with developers across teams to resolve challenges. You will serve as a mentor to other Salesforce developers, and will be tasked with maintaining and promoting a collaborative and learning-oriented culture among developers. You will play an integral part of our planning process by actively participating in Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement and sprint planning. You will assist with story breakdown and serve as a product owner for the technical backlog. You will also serve as a technical representative and Salesforce subject matter expert for our team to our client, business customer, and other external stakeholders.

In this role, you’ll have an impact from day one. You’ll be a key part of our leadership team. You'll apply extensive experience developing on the Salesforce platform following best practices and utilizing Salesforce declarative capabilities where appropriate. Your ability to build positive relationships with other team members and our clients, ability to write clean, maintainable Apex code, experience with web development technologies like Lightning Web Components, knowledge of the Salesforce platform’s declarative capabilities, and an ability to mentor and grow junior team members will be key. You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience with Salesforce platform development, including Apex, JavaScript, Visualforce pages, and Aura Components or Lightning Web Components
  • Experience committing code and metadata to git repositories
  • Experience leading other developers
  • Experience communicating with leadership at all levels
  • Knowledge of the Salesforce development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree, or 7+ years of experience as a software engineer or software developer in lieu of degree
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and Platform Developer II Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with federal government or healthcare IT
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps technologies and tools, including GitHub, Copado, Salesforce DX, and Flosum
  • Experience with Java, Python, C#, Kotlin, C/C++, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQLsdf
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent client-facing or consulting skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or CS
  • Additional Salesforce Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
