Solution Architect

Key Role:

Work as an Infrastructure Solutions Architect on an innovative cybersecurity team. Work closely with an Enterprise Architect, the clients, and the firm’s cross-functional teams to recommend and identify improved system performance and disruptive technologies with a focus on open architectures and solutions that improve customer and system performance. Act as a subject matter expert reporting to the Enterprise Architect to define the client’s cybersecurity architecture and infrastructure with specific focus on logging, security information and event management, security operations, incident response and detection, threat detection, vulnerability management, and cloud.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in cyber security architecture, solutions architecture, software engineering, or systems engineering
  • Experience with SOC and SIEM technologies, including Splunk, vulnerability management data, including Nessus, CVE, or Configuration, and cybersecurity data and logging, including network, endpoint, cloud, or application
  • Experience using MBSE tools, including MagicDraw
  • Experience with the application of Agile and DevSecOps practices, principles, and patterns
  • Experience developing architecture diagrams
  • Experience managing multiple parallel technical projects and project teams
  • Knowledge of enterprise-scale architecture and the application to Cloud platform transformation
  • Ability to conduct technology assessments and market analysis, and communicate clearly and concisely with executive-level briefing materials and delivery
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with signature detection, analytics, and SOC incident response procedures
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with ETL, Data Warehouse, and SQL, including SQL Server
  • Experience with large-scale data analytics technologies, including Kafka, Spark, Benthos, Cribl, or AWS Kinesis
  • Experience with endpoint tools, including BigFix or McAfee ePO
  • Experience with vulnerability scanners, including Security Center or Nessus
  • Experience with EDR tools, including SentinelOne, Carbon Black, or Crowdstrike
  • Experience with IPS and Firewall tools, including Checkpoint or Cisco
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or Computer Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
