Job Description
Key Role:
Perform system administration support for all aspects of the client systems that process high volumes of data. Provide maintenance and support to specialized Linux systems and virtualized and hardware-based infrastructure systems, to include backups and all associated subsystems. Provide project management support for all production-related tasks and report schedule and performance. Participate in the investigation of relevant systems or subsystems performance, including interconnecting networks, storage, patch management, the data flow on the networks, the performance of computers and the overall flow and handling of information across the hardware and software enterprise. Configure systems and perform system patching and updates to ensure STIG and cybersecurity compliance. Provide related engineering support for systems including conducting operational testing, validation, and documentation necessary for transition to operations.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with supporting Linux systems and subsystems, including storage and backup solutions, in an operational environment
Experience with provisioning Linux systems and performing operational testing
Experience with securing Linux systems using tools, including STIGS and vulnerability scanners
Knowledge of project management processes and documentation
Ability to draft technical documentation targeted at various reader levels, including users, operators, and system analysts
Top Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
DoD IAT Level 2 Certification, including Security+
Additional Qualifications:
7+ years of experience with Linux system administration
2+ years of experience with project management
Experience with supporting DoD or Navy systems
Experience with HPC or Virtualization technologies and processes
Knowledge of incident handling processes
Ability to recognize and document system capability gaps and issues
Possession of strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
