Integrated Air and Missile Defense Subject Matter Expert

Key Role:

Apply prior working knowledge of the Joint Operational Planning Process and air and missile defense assets required to execute Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) operations to project outcomes. Analyze the planning and execution of strategic- and operational-level IAMD so that appropriate assets can execute the Joint engagement sequence. Leverage knowledge of Joint C2 networks and tactical data links used for IAMD to project improvement. Develop a Concept of Employment (CONEMP) and decision planning tool (DPT) to integrate DE systems with existing kinetic fires options to interdict airborne threats by conducting research, table-top exercises, rehearsal of concept (ROC) drills, or other events. Validate accuracy of CONEMP and DPT during simulation and wargame test events. Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex and highly sensitive systems, policies, processes, and instrumentation related to foreign threats and homeland security. Determine procedure for solving complex design, integration, and analytical problems and prepare briefings and reports on analysis methodologies and results.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience as air and missile defense operations planner

-Knowledge of target engagement tactics, techniques, and procedures in the Joint arena

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience as a Joint force fires expert in a planning or operations capacity for DoD

experience INDOPACOM preferred

-Knowledge of next generation kinetic and non-kinetic fires, including directed energy via laser, microwave, other directed energy a plus

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance preferred

-BA or BS degree in a technical field preferred; MA or MS degree in a technical field a plus

-PMP Certification preferred
