Joint Fires Analyst

Key Role:

Apply comprehension of Joint fires to assist air, land, maritime, and operations forces to move, maneuver, and control territory, populations, airspace, and key waters to project outcomes. Utilize knowledge of all elements of the fire support system, including target acquisition, command and control (C2), and attack and delivery systems that must function collectively to ensure effective fires at the tactical and operational levels of the project. Conduct Joint fires planning at the operational level in support of a Joint force commander (JFC) utilizing Joint fire support command, control, and communications (C3) systems and architectures against the project. Develop a Concept of Employment (CONEMP) and decision planning tool (DPT) to integrate directed energy (DE) systems with existing kinetic fires options to interdict airborne threats by conducting research, table-top exercises, rehearsal of concept (ROC) drills, and other events. Validate accuracy of CONEMP and DPT during simulation and wargame test events. Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex and highly sensitive systems, policies, processes, and instrumentation related to foreign threats and homeland security. Determine procedure for solving complex design, integration, and analytical problems and prepare briefings and reports on analysis methodology and results.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience as a Joint force fires expert in planning or operations capacity for DoD

-Knowledge of Joint Targeting Cycle

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the INDOPACOM preferred

-Knowledge of next generation kinetic and non-kinetic fires a plus, including directed energy via laser and microwave

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Top Secret clearance preferred

-BA or BS degree in a technical field; MA or MS degree in a technical field

-PMP Certification preferred
