The Opportunity:

As a software engineer, you will use your passion to learn new tools and techniques and apply them towards identifying and delivering needed software solutions. You will expand your development skills and help our client achieve a critical modernization effort, working to migrate key business process to a modern, microservice-based solution. You are driven by well-designed systems, motivated by tackling exciting technical challenges, and are looking for new opportunities to grow your knowledge. You will not only master your development skills but improve on leadership skills that will help you lead your own team of developers to success.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience as a software developer

  • Experience with programming languages, including Java, C#, or Python in industry setting

  • Experience with systems designed using Event Driven Architecture

  • Experience with software design patterns

  • Experience with researching, designing, developing, or modifying enterprise-wide systems, architectures, or applications software

  • Experience with developing and performing automated system builds and testing on distributed and multiple platform systems

  • Experience with Git or Subversion version control systems

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems and guide junior developers

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Agile software development processes and tools

  • Experience migrating legacy software systems to modern solutions, using software design and engineering best practices

  • Experience documenting and designing new system features

  • Experience with documenting testing and maintenance of system corrections

  • Knowledge of non-relational NoSQL databases

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
