Electronics Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Develop electronic systems and components to use within equipment or machinery and support other engineers to perform tasks when necessary. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members. Plan, conduct, and direct research or development work on complex projects necessitating the origination and application of new and unique approaches. Plan and direct projects and supply technical inspiration, leadership, and consultation to professional co-workers. Work with a wide latitude for unreviewed action or decision.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with the science of sonar acoustical engineering for sensing natural and man-made structures, objects, and architectures in marine environments

  • Experience developing underwater acoustic signal and information processing algorithms, techniques, and systems

  • Experience with the Naval Research Enterprise or the Office of Naval Research (ONR)

  • Knowledge of acoustics in numerous physical mediums

  • Ability to assess the impacts of differing sensor designs and sensor software processing on the capability to sense

  • Ability to demonstrate recognized standing in the professional field through a combination of original contributions and positions of leadership

  • Ability to convey complex technical and system constructs across a diverse and integrated science, engineering, and acquisition team

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to document and communicate findings in non-technical terms for non-scientists

  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Doctorate degree in a Physical Sciences field

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
