Database Developer, Senior

Key Role:

Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using Oracle technologies. Help integrate data assets. Assess structured and unstructured data sources. Develop strategies for data import with quality assurance checks. Perform data import and transformation. Develop scripts for data import, quality assessments, and error handling. Support data visualization projects. Provide clients with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. Use knowledge of technical and software development skills to identify and solve critical issues quickly and accurately. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience with developing and maintaining SQL databases, including Oracle DB and writing SQL Queries

  • 7+ years of experience in working with standard database architectures and constructing schemas, tables, stored procedures, and deployment packages

  • 7+ years of experience with performing server maintenance, including data management, indexing, and periodic checks for data corruption issues

  • 7+ years of experience in working with the end users gathering requirements that help to understand how the database and its information will be used

  • 7+ years of experience with enhancing and improving the databases by seeking better methods to handle data and increase system efficiency, including writing more complex and optimized queries

  • Experience with conducting database troubleshooting including data validations to ensure that the information is intact, correct, and accessible, and performing code reviews

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Ability to obtain one or more of the following certifications: Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate (CCNA), Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), GIAC Global Industrial Cybersecurity Professional (GICSP), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Security+ ce, Certified Network Defender (CND), or System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) within the first 2 weeks of hire

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment

  • Knowledge of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)

  • Knowledge of software development concepts

  • Knowledge of Navy Ship Maintenance

  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

  • Possession of excellent technical, verbal and written communication skills

  • Top Secret clearance


Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret security clearance is required.


The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $115,000 to $120,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
