Regional Exercise Analyst, Mid

Key Role:
Provide experimentation, wargaming, and exercise analysis and recommendations on the development, coordination, execution, and evaluation of client exercises. Analyze the design of military exercises through the integration of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems, Joint and service level simulation systems, and the provision of Master Scenario Event Lists (MSELs) for US Marine Corps, Joint, and bilateral training exercises and events. Recommend the proper execution and effective usage of equipment and forces in the exercises and attend planning conferences, working groups, and site surveys to gather data, plan, and provide recommendations on military exercises. Analyze exercise scenarios and intelligence and operational products for exercises, including basic orders, annexes, and appendices and Mission Essential Task List (METL)-based training, analyze the development of products that challenge participants to make difficult and unexpected decisions, and provide detailed exercise after-action reports (AARs). Analyze the development of exercise improvement plans and address current and emerging threats through the planning and execution of exercises, including analysis of comprehensive training plan guidance, scenario development, playbook and intelligence summary generation, experimentation, wargame, exercise in-briefing, participant training, experimentation, wargames, and exercises and post-exercise briefing analysis. Coordinate a training and exercise program, including a training exercise employment plan (TEEP) and provide exercise content to annual events, including commander’s conferences, boards, and seminars. Support bilateral integration efforts, including guard and protect and installations emergency management (IEM) events, update and coordinate a noncombatant evacuation operations (NEO) plan, and participate in NEO events.

Basic Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience with Pacific theater plans and exercises
-2 years of experience with exercise planning, preparation, and coordination with adjacent components and higher headquarters commands
-Ability to apply information from applicable documents to advise on the design of an exercise construct that meets both theater security cooperation and training and readiness objectives
-Ability to advise leadership on the means to achieve the above objectives within a fiscally responsible exercise construct
-Active Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with large and complex projects
-Experience with supporting multi-functional teams delivering across multiple task areas
-Possession of excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree
-Completion of formal US Marines or equivalent military schooling, including Marine Air Ground Task Force Operations education
