Job Description
Key Role:
Prepare electro-mechanical technical drawings and documentation. Develop detailed design specifications for products and structures and specify dimensions, materials, and procedures. Communicate and collaborate with internal and external as well as technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, to ensure the quality and accuracy of drawings, models, and other written deliverables. Comprehend the role and apply knowledge of program and project requirements, policies, and procedures. Perform easy to moderately difficult support tasks. Work independently with some supervision and follow general instructions.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with mechanical 3D modeling and 2D computer-aided drafting (CAD)
Knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing for 2D drawing development
Knowledge of 3D modeling techniques and best practices
Ability to support SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD
Ability to develop technical documentation, including 2D technical drawings, bills of material, and associated written technical documentation
Ability to collaborate with an integrated product team, including a variety of technical and non-technical teammates
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with hardware design, development, model-based definition, prototyping, and integration of electromechanical prototype or military systems
Experience with 3D modeling programs, including CREO, Solid Edge, or Inventor
Experience with performing peer reviews or drawing checking, Configuration Management, or SOLIDWORKS PDM
Knowledge of fabrication, assembly, and modern manufacturing technologies, including additive manufacturing techniques, such as 3D printing, and subtractive manufacturing techniques, such as CNC
Knowledge of ASME Y14 standards
Secret clearance
Associate's degree in Drafting or Engineering
SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, or ASME GD&T Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $46,900.00 to $96,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
