SOC Lead

The Opportunity:  
As a SOC Lead, you’re in the middle of the action, responding to and mitigating threats in real time. You’re the first line of cyber defense for your organization, and they look to you for guidance on best practices and security measures. We need a Tier 3 SOC Analyst like you to help us secure critical infrastructure from the constant onslaught of cyber-attacks. 

On our SOC team, you’ll oversee efforts to find the advanced threats that are escaping detection by analyzing logs, forensic data, and threat intelligence. Using your deep understanding of your client’s networks combined with your cyber security experience, you’ll analyze patterns to understand attackers’ goals and stop them from succeeding. Once your team finds the adversary in the SEIM’s blind spot, you’ll advise on ways to close the gaps and harden their network.

You Have: 

  • Experience with cybersecurity systems, tools, platforms, or applications, including Splunk, ELK Stack, Cisco FirePower or FireEye, including NX, EX, or AX, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, Tanium, or Cylance 
  • Ability to troubleshoot an active security event from detection to containment and provide recommendations 
  • TS/SCI clearance 
  • Master’s degree and 15+ years of experience with information security, including penetration testing, intrusion detection, incident response, threat analysis, or digital forensics, or 35+ years of experience with information security, including penetration testing, intrusion detection, incident response, threat analysis, or digital forensics in lieu of a degree
  • ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Certification 
  • GCIH – GIAC Certified Incident Handler, GSOC – GIAC Security Operations Certified, or GMON – GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certifications 

Nice If You Have: 

  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity and overall information technology architecture design and tools 
  • IAM Level III or IAT Level III Certification 

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
