The Opportunity: 

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable organizations to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, an experienced network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the Marine Corps needs. 

As a network engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience to support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You’ll troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.  

Apply your expertise as you join our team of problem-solvers to help the Marine Corps evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies. 

Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in C4ISR networks, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you’ll make an impact on national security missions.

You Have: 

  • Experience with Navy and Marine Corps information networks
  • Experience with a Service-level staff office, developing executive level briefings and deliverables
  • Experience evaluating and overseeing program execution of communications projects
  • Experience working as part of a cross-functional delivery team, integrating and incorporating detailed technical data from multiple team members into executive level decision-making products, and effectively communicating the findings, insights, and recommendations to senior-level clients
  • Knowledge of DoD use of, and governance for, satellite communications or wireless terrestrial communications systems across the Electromagnetic Spectrum related to C4ISR user segment, mission management, and ground infrastructure
  • Knowledge of computers, networks, and cloud environments, and operational and tactical use across the electronic spectrum
  • Ability to travel quarterly
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED and 15+ years of experience with tactical networks, communications, or data management, or Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience with tactical networks, communications, or data management

Nice If You Have: 

  • 15+ years of experience working for the DoD, Joint Service (JS), or other agencies
  • Experience implementing, modernizing, and transitioning C4ISR communications technologies
  • Experience delivering expert technical advice and assistance for communications capabilities within JS, allied, and coalition ISR programs and architectures
  • Experience writing and synthesizing data from multiple sources into comprehensive technical documents that are easy to comprehend
  • Experience with analytical activities for U.S. government acquisition programs, including stakeholder requirements definition, requirements analysis, test and evaluation, trade studies, or architecture design per U.S. government processes
  • Ability to interface with internal and external clients
  • Ability to operate independently
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, IT, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a Mathematics or Engineering field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
