Cloud Analyst and Engineer

Key Role:

Architects, develops, and operationalizes software solutions and systems that perform cyber data analytics at scale in a variety of technology platforms. Applies advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction and mentors and supervises team members, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with IT software development and engineering, collecting requirements, and developing technical solution roadmaps for implementation    
  • 8+ years of experience with configuring commercial off-the-shelf solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Experience with implementing robust security measures for cloud environments and with the optimization of cloud-based applications for performance, resource efficiency, and cost
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions, and with automated deployment, scaling, and management of cloud infrastructure
  • Knowledge of capability of a multi-cloud, multi-availability zone ecosystem that leverages IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS with integrated Active Directory Federated Services within Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
  • Ability to adopt cloud solutions that streamline transformation and embrace modern capabilities
  • Ability to implement cloud enabled Enterprise Collaboration and Productivity Services (ECAPS) and the functionality of Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS)
  • Ability to Automated Development and Test Environment (ADTE) objectives directly align to strategic line of efforts to modernize the network
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering, or a mathematics or engineering field

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with supporting Navy or Marine Corps applications and systems
  • Experience with Identity Authentication and Authorization
  • Experience with Advanced Networking design and troubleshooting, including DNS, Routing, or Subnetting
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, Cloud formation, or Configuration as Code such as AWS SSM, Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Knowledge of the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications
  • Knowledge of cloud environments in support of DoD Compliance
  • Knowledge of Ubuntu, RHEL, or Windows Server
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Associate or AWS Certified Developer, Associate Certification, or MS equivalent certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
