Key Role:
Performs a variety of complex project tasks applied to specialized technology problems. Apply analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of work flow, organization, and planning. Direct and assist system engineers in the application of system engineering principles to the solution of secure systems design problems. Applies expertise in LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, network protocols, and other security and network operations and monitoring, vulnerability analysis, PKI, data encryption, key management, data warehousing, and data mining capabilities. Supports Program Offices implementation of Tactical Data Link (TDL) and tactical data messages. Supports day-to-day technical aspects of product operational design and data to identify diagnostic issues in enough detail to determine rot cause of hardware or software as it relates to system of system interoperability. Works with Program Office and technology partners to replicate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical TDL issues. Works with developers to identify defects and opportunities for product improvement and push improvements in the system of system ecosystem in coordination with program office requirements. Assesses product improvements and serviceability by testing new features and developing tools to scale deployments and auto-support infrastructure. Uses tools and methodologies including Interoperability Enhancement Process (IEP) Enhance Systems Management and Requirements Transformation (eSMART). Participates in the development of Message Implementation Plans and participates in Technical Interface Standards Working Groups. Applies subject matter expertise in program offices' implementation of Tactical Data Link (TDL) and tactical data messages IAW Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction (CJCSI) 6610.01, including Interoperability Enhancement Process (IEP).
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with supporting projects and systems developed under the Systems Engineering and Technical Review (SETR) or comparable DoD SE process
- Experience with supporting the design, development, and review of systems engineering design artifacts, including Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), requirements analysis, interface design, system architecture development, and system performance analysis
- Experience with complex System of Systems (SoS) engineering development and acquisition efforts
- Knowledge of the systems engineering life cycle
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
Additional Qualification:
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with Navy C4I systems engineering, developing platform architecture, technology roadmap, analysis of alternatives, and delivery of network architectures for Navy shipbuilding programs
- Experience with complex System-of-Systems (SoS) engineering development and acquisition efforts, including the integration of networked systems
- Master's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
- Project Management Professional or Associate Systems Engineering Professional certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
