Network Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Test and analyze all elements of network facilities. Monitor and control the performance and status of network resources on multiple enclaves using software and hardware tools. Identify and diagnose problems and factors affecting network performance. Analyze network performance, usage, traffic flows, access, and interfaces. Provide technical planning and analysis for communication activities, including designing, integrating, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, monitoring, reporting, and documenting, training users, working with appropriate vendors, and performing preventative maintenance services. Perform testing, provisioning, operations, and emergency response for ongoing VoIP network operations. Oversee and manage the deployment of upgrades to existing voice, video, and other related systems in a multi-location environment. Ensure all required operational and support documents are current and up to date.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with increasingly complex and progressive computer system or network engineering

-5+ years of experience with designing, building, or maintaining communications systems

-2+ years of experience with Cisco UCS

-Experience with engineering data center and IP backbone networks in a multi-vendor, multiprotocol environment, including networks based on various circuit bandwidths, such as T1, DS3, Fiber / Optical, DSL, Ethernet, ATM, Frame Relay, Ethernet over copper core, distribution, and access media, and routers, switches, and firewalls

-Experience with both CISCO UCS and Unified Fabric

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-Security+ Certification

-Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification

-Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in working for or with NCIS or Department of the Navy systems

-BA or BS degree in an IT-related field
