Systems Administration

Key Role:

Provide design, installation, testing, and sustainment of various U.S. Marine Corps systems, Open-Source Information Systems (OSIS), Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS), and any other network Marine Corps connections. Identify system problems due to system component connections and notify appropriate Network Owner for problem resolution and sustain engineering support of network systems. Assist government personnel with the installation design, new cabling, equipment, and associated hardware and software to extend and enhance existing services. Establish new user accounts, configuration and support for laptops, and the configuration, adjustment, and maintenance of commercial cell phone assets and remote email services and assist users with remote and VPN access. Arrange and coordinate with hardware maintenance personnel for the repair of Network IT equipment and troubleshoot and assist with software and hardware problems for Domain Users. Assist with maintaining the Configuration Baseline for all laptops and workstations in the Command and maintenance and inventory of VoIP Phones, STE Phones, VTC’s, Printers, and Audio-Visual Equipment. Test and document components for communications architectures and assist government personnel with administration of the network storage arrays and Email Archiving System. Support the Microsoft Systems Update Server (SUS) and Systems Management Server (SMS) and assist government personnel with the administration of the Command Storage Area Network Fiber Channel Routers and switches. Operate and maintain network management systems, including primary and limited functional backup network operations centers and in-band and out-of-band network management systems. Assist Government personnel in the upkeep, organization and cleanliness of the Server Room and associated Network Closets at the facility. Assist Government personnel with engineering and design requirements for Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, including Authority to Operate (ATO) development and security requirements. Assist Government personnel in updating section operating procedures and assist Government personnel with escorting IT and audiovisual professionals who visit the facility to perform S-6 related tasks.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 3 years of experience with systems administration

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification, including CompTIA Security+

  • Exam MD-102 Endpoint Administrator and Exam 102 Microsoft 365 Administrator Certification

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience with the Marine Corps networks

  • Bachelor's degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
