Air Superiority SME

Key Role:

Support and assist with efforts to translate weapon system capabilities and gaps to support our Air Force client's mission. Provide technical and analytical assistance to assess weapon system capabilities and translate system requirements into resource evaluation and documentation products. Provide support to effectively plan, program, and execute resource requirements and assist in performing capabilities, program, and cost analyses for new and modified systems, including managing, developing, and analyzing resource documentation for the mission in support of program execution. Build and defend 4-Star decision data via the USAF Strategic Planning Process and directly influence the POM process once those planning decisions are made. Assist and support efforts to accomplish studies, technical analysis, and reports and in developing and producing USAFE Air Operations Plans and force flow requirements to support the Enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) units and personnel. Assist with the development of training objectives, scenarios, and vignettes for mission exercise and training events, coordinate and execute planning meetings to develop exercises and events with Joint partners, and assist with the execution of these events. Produce capstone analyses and reports to inform the Requirements Generation, Strategic Planning, Programming, and Science & Technology process, identify and prioritize capability gaps, and develop strategies toward defensible solutions for the client's mission.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience on USAF MAJCOM or higher Air Force-level staff, including active duty, government service, or contractor
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, staff, or working specific Air Superiority Core Mission
  • 5+ years of experience as a rated operational F-15 or F-22 instructor pilot
  • Knowledge of Air Superiority Core Function Mission
  • Knowledge of Air Operations Center (AOC) operations processes and doctrine
  • Knowledge of Command and Control
  • Ability to work unsupervised and produce and provide detailed technical oral presentations, briefings, background papers, and well researched documents
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute exercises
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience as a pilot or instructor with the last flight within the last 10 years a plus
  • Experience as an AOC Chief of Combat Operations, Chief of Combat Plans, or Strategy Division Chief
  • Knowledge of IAMD tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) and European Theater of Operations (ETO) threat matrix and IAMD gaps
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute ETO wide readiness verification exercises
  • Master's degree
  • PMP or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Weapon School Graduate

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
