Integrated Air and Missile Defense Planner and SME

Key Role:

Provide operational, exercise, policy, and engagement planning, and subject matter expert support to the U.S. Forces in Europe. Identify and integrate joint and allied and coalition air, space and missile defense capabilities, joint all domain command and control (JADC2) systems and capabilities, enhance concurrent execution of the counter air framework, and improve Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and JADC2 education and training capability across the theater. Advise Commanders on strategy, IAMD Defense Designs, resources capabilities and limitations, and operational functional area expertise on IAMD operations and tactical implementation. Provide EUCOM air operations stakeholders subject matter expertise including senior leader training, theater and regional-level exercise support, governing document such as Operation Plans, Concept Plans, Area Air Defense Plans, Concepts of Operations, or Special Instructions, writing and review, analysis and recommendations during Operational Planning Teams and other boards, bureaus, centers, cells, and working groups. Perform assessments and after-action deliverables including talking points, and recommendations for the future of IAMD and JADC2 as it relates to AOC operations and exercise plans.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with Integrated Air and Missile Defense

-3+ years of experience integrating NATO and Partner air defense systems

-Experience as an IAMD planner at the Component Command, Combatant Command, or Service Headquarters

-Knowledge of current and future weapon systems as they pertain to Joint, Allied and Partner air and missile defense systems, joint and combined military plans, and modeling and simulation

-TS/SCI clearance

-Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with developing Area Air Defense Plans, Special Instructions, and Command Relationships products for operations, training, and exercises

-Experience with conducting IAMD and BMD training, operations, and planning

-Experience with counter Unmanned Aerial Systems planning

-Experience with integrating Joint sensors into a common tactical picture
-Experience with analyzing international policy and security regarding sensor integration, and with security cooperation and interagency coordination

-Experience in the EUCOM area of operations and the ability to travel throughout Europe, Africa, and the United States
-Experience with air and missile defense system operations, joint or combined military staff processes, joint military planning, modeling and simulations, radar systems, data link architectures, joint and combined command and control, US foreign disclosure policy analysis, and US government intelligence sources

-Ability to represent component command equities at planning conferences and operational planning teams

-Master's degree

-Completion of Service or Joint Intermediate or Senior level Professional Military Education

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
