Cloud Computing DevOps Engineer, Senior

As a DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll streamline the software development lifecycle, from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best—create. You’ll work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. You Have:   

• 7+ years of experience in both cloud architecture and automation engineering
• 5+ years of experience with leading cloud platforms Amazon Web Services (AWS), including IaaS, PaaS, or Serverless offerings
• 3+ years of experience with automation and scripting, including Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• 3+ years of experience with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools, including Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Experience with security best practices for cloud deployments
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools, including Prometheus or Grafana
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Ability to obtain a DoD Directive 8570 or 8140 Series Certification, including Security+ Certification for IAT Level II within 60 days of the start date

Nice If You Have:   

• Experience with Microsoft Azure or Google GCP
• Experience with cloud architectural design and implementation of secure cloud infrastructure using automation tools
• Experience with troubleshooting cloud deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, operations, and stakeholders
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and GCP Professional Cloud Architect Certification
• Terraform Certified Associate or Ansible Certified Professional Certification

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
