Cybersecurity Operations Team Lead

The Opportunity: 

As a cyber mission specialist, you understand the value of hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. At Booz Allen, you can use your cyberspace operations experience to create solutions that will be executed on a worldwide stage. We’re looking for an experienced cyber mission specialist like you to apply your knowledge in network endpoint security tools, cyber threat info, developing operations plans, cyber threat signatures, monitoring tools and impact our nation’s security.  

In this role, you’ll be counted on to understand cyberspace capabilities to evaluate potential weaknesses as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cyber security solutions. You will leverage cyberspace operations systems to aggregate threat feeds that inform briefings for senior leadership aligned to the client’s mission area. This is an opportunity to use your research and analysis abilities to adequately assess and inform operators and senior leadership on dynamic adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures for the mission area. You Have:   

  • 5+ years of experience with IT operations or Cybersecurity 

  • 5+ years of experience with leading technical project delivery for large, complex organizations 

  • Experience with leading product selection initiatives, including A&O, AI, analytics, secure DevOps, identify and access management, or network access control 

  • Ability to work with and guide senior leaders, including CISO, CIO, and CTO, and executives to ideate, build, and execute cybersecurity capability maturation 

  • Ability to collaborate with project and proposal teams effectively to incorporate Cybersecurity solutions and develop high quality implementation plans and roadmaps 

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED 

  • Information Security Certification, including CEH, CISM, CCSP, CCSK, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ 

   

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience in a cybersecurity compliance, operations, or engineering leadership role 

  • Experience with selecting, designing, and implementing security tools and capabilities for large, complex federal or commercial organizations 

  • Experience with innovative Cybersecurity capabilities, including A&O, AI, machine learning, NGFW, and Big Data 

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP 

  • Ability to author technical documentation, whitepapers, or blogs on leading Cybersecurity topics and concepts  

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • Bachelor's degree 

  • DoD 8570 IASAE Level III Certification, including CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, or CCSP

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
