Systems Modeler

The Opportunity:

As a Systems Modeler, you will apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts as you work on complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. You will operate with substantial latitude for customer support and collaboration with an IC client. You'll provide technical insight and support for development of multiple types of modeling and simulation products, and ensure integration of those products into standard simulation frameworks. You will model various types of physical phenomena such as missile trajectory, RF propagation, and acoustic and seismic signatures. You will support the model performance and model calibration aspects as required.

We’re looking for a problem solver who can use their skills to help perform support model development and the resulting detailed analyses, including the evaluation of highly complex technical collection systems in various environments. You'll work closely with engineers and software developers.

You Have:   

  • 3+ years of experience in the direct application of modeling and simulation
  • 3+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages, including Python, C++, MATLAB, and Java
  • Experience with optimization, modeling and simulation, prediction, estimation, decision analysis, or engineering management
  • Experience using scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources  
  • Experience leading the development of solutions to complex programs
  • TS/SCI clearance 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Applied Mathematics, or Physics

Nice If You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in the direct application of modeling and simulation
  • 5+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages, including Python, C++, MATLAB, and Java
  • Experience with computational computing, scientific computing, and concurrent programming
  • Experience in analytic modeling, simulation, and operations analysis across payloads, platforms, and military or intelligence community missions
  • Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
  • Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Master's degree in Engineering, CS, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or similar field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
