Exercise Planner

Key Role:

Augment Army Knowledge Management staff for the Mission Analysis Readiness Resource Synchronization (MARRS) application. Serve as the MARRS subject matter expert while conducting working groups or operational planning teams with stakeholders. Be the Lead Integrator for the Operational Environment which will replace MARRS. Understand the Operational Environment (OE) and integrate with staff to enhance the MARRS Common Operating Picture (COP). Coordinate with functional and technical staff to troubleshoot Mobilization Common Operating Picture (MOBCOP) data tables, including Angular and SQL, and investigate defects and bugs within the dashboard. Attend Multi-Component Joint Assessments (MCJA). Participate in exercise work groups, planning meetings, and in-progress reviews (IPR) for exercise planning and update presentation material for senior leadership, middle management, or action officer level. Receive requirements for developing concepts to present to senior leaders. Provide recommendations to Headquarters Department of the system enhancements to meet readiness requirements. Troubleshoot issues with the MARRS user interface. Support the client to accomplish the mission.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 12+ years of experience with training Army Combat Arms, Combat Support, or Combat Service Support units

  • Knowledge of Angular and Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) coding

  • Experience with the MARRS application

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams

  • Knowledge of military training, doctrine, planning, and tactics, techniques, and procedures

  • Knowledge of the Army mobilization mission

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience as an Observer Coach/Trainer (OC/T), Simulation Operations Officer FA 57A or CP36, Army Planner FA 59, Battle Staff NCO, or Digital Master Gunner

  • Experience working on division or higher headquarters staff

  • Experience conducting mobilization operations

  • Experience with military exercise design and development

  • Knowledge of the MCJA process

  • Knowledge of GFIM

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,200.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
