User Experience Architect

The Opportunity: 

You know that a good application is more than just the code, infrastructure, and a nice-looking interface, it’s the way it addresses a user’s needs. As an experience designer, you can put yourself in the user’s place and design the best way for them to engage with the tool. We’re looking for someone creative like you to craft the ultimate user experience.

In this role, you’ll work closely with product managers to understand your clients’ vision and their users’ needs. You'll work across the team to set interface standards that are based in research and develop front-end templates and components that can be re-used. Your experience with user experience, interface design, and front-end development will help you advocate for the prioritizations of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements, all the while keeping the end-user at the center of your work.

You Have: 

  • 8+ years of experience with User Interface and User Experience development and design

  • Experience creating seamless user interfaces that integrate a composite of COTS and low-code no-code tools

  • Experience with web development technologies, standards, and best practices, including HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Visio, or Axure

  • Knowledge of the overall software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) and activities

  • Ability to closely work with project teams to enact UX/UI values and best practices that are based in research

  • Ability to analyze technical debt and ensure UI/UX consistency across all applications within the portfolio

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement UX strategies and evangelize the importance of UX design and promote a user-centered culture within an organization

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with OpenText Platforms, including Content Server and ECM, or Microsoft Power Platform

  • Experience in agile development and best practices

  • Knowledge of Section 508 best practices

  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
