Job Description

Remote Work:
Job Number:
Cross Domain Solutions Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:

Everyone knows security needs to be “baked in” to a system architecture, but you know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your cross-domain knowledge and skills to lead the design and building of secure systems for the USAF and tactical weapons systems? We’re looking for a cross domain solutions engineer who can create mission critical solutions that will stand up to even the most advanced cyber threats.

As a Senior Cross Domain Solutions engineer on our project, you’ll interpret technical guidance, analyze mission requirements, and recommend effective solutions to cross domain challenges throughout the USAF and the tactical edge. We need the best solution, so you’ll advise on new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You’ll lead the team through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and mission needs. You’ll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like edge computing and airborne sensor data while building peace of mind in a critical capability. Become a senior engineer on our team as we improve cross domain data transfer for the USAF and larger DoD through cybersecurity.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with the design, engineering, integration, implementation, testing, and deployment of the infrastructure, hardware, and software that are required to effectively manage the security and risk posture of cross domain systems and resources
  • Experience with cybersecurity, engineering, test and evaluation, assessment and authorization (A&A), or Multi-level Security (MLS)
  • Experience with supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) A&A activities, including conducting security control validation, and developing and maintaining system authorization packages
  • Experience with the development of Cross-Domain Solution Appendixes (CDSAs) for production systems and the CDSA Phase I through CDSA Phase III process
  • Knowledge of Top Secret and Below Interoperability (TSABI) or Secret and Below Interoperability (SABI) Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) processes, and developing artifacts that support the CDS approval process for production systems
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with system vulnerability management or security patch implementation
  • Experience with the implementation of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) special publications, federal regulations, and DoD policies
  • Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle to translate strategic cyber objectives, technology, and environmental conditions into engineering outcomes and solutions that meet the latest in technical regulations, including Raise the Bar (RTB) initiatives
  • Ability to develop system concepts
  • Ability to lead the analysis of trends and emerging technology for potential program modernization and compliance
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, IA, Systems Engineering, or Network Architecture and Design

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
