Job Number:
R0186122
Cybersecurity Engineer, Mid

The Opportunity:

Everyone knows security needs to be “baked in” to system architecture, but you know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your cyber engineering skills to design and build secure systems for the USAF? We’re looking for an engineer who can help create solutions for the USAF and larger DoD that will stand up to even the most advanced cyber threats.

As a Cybersecurity Engineer on our project, you’ll coordinate with the client, DAO, system owners, vendors, and system developers to collect and verify information assurance (IA) artifacts, policies, and procedures. You’ll work with client teams to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solution, so you’ll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going.

As a team, we’ll take a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and risk mitigation needs. This is a chance to learn from a team of experts as you make a difference in the security of Army systems and applications. Your contributions will help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices like prioritizing and planning RMF and ICD 503-required activities for testing and documenting security control compliance and risk mitigation.

You’ll be able to gain experience in DoD, USAF, and analyze client Cybersecurity policies while building peace of mind in critical infrastructure. Join our team as we improve USAF and DoD cyber security.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with Cybersecurity, IA, and JWICS accreditation support, DoD IA RMF, DCID 6/3, or ICD 503

  • Knowledge of DoD and intelligence community IA and security laws, regulations, and policies, including mandates
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Knowledge of DoD security technical implementation guides (STIGs), checklists, and DoD testing tools, including Gold Disk, Security Readiness Review Scripts (SRRs), SCAP, and the Retina Nessus ACAS scanning tool
  • Secret Clearance
