Product Manager

Key Role:

Manage strategic and business decisions related to product or product group creation, development, positioning and marketing. Define scrum backlog items, including epics, features, and user stories that guide the Scrum development team towards successful product delivery. Work closely with the Scrum Master to ensure scrum teams questions are answered and user story acceptance criteria is precise and clear. Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product. Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation. Develop detailed specifications for product features and clearly communicate those features so they are understood by the development teams. Assess value, develop business cases, prioritize user stories, epics, and themes to ensure product work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with the business’ strategic goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Scrum Product Owner

  • Experience in a leadership role on a Digital or Artificial Intelligence (AI) product development effort

  • Experience with Atlassian Tools, including Jira and Confluence

  • Experience with Agile Development or iterative SDLC methodologies

  • Ability to translate product roadmaps and user stories into product requirements documents (PRDs); gain buy-in from stakeholders and engineers; and iteratively develop and release new features on an accelerated timeline

  • Ability to quickly gain rapport with developer teams and effectively communicate expectations and constraints between business stakeholders and technical developers

  • Ability to work with UX teams to inform design of user flows and user interfaces 

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with developing deep learning, computer vision, civil and mechanical engineering, digital twin, smart city, augmented and virtual reality, or modeling and simulation products or projects

  • Experience with managing large software delivery projects and contracts for U.S. Federal Government or DoD clients

  • Experience with business development, including leading and supporting proposal efforts

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, adjust quickly to shifting priorities, solve problems, and deal with a variety of options in complex situations

  • Ability to work with client organizations to translate business needs into a technology strategy and product roadmap

  • Project or Product Management Professional Certification
