LMS Application Developer

The Opportunity:

Looking to work with the latest Content Management System (CMS) technologies? As a content management engineer, you’ll assist in the design and development of applications that are user-friendly, optimal, and customizable. You know the importance of organizing content in a visual way that meets UX standards and best practices. By doing this, you help your clients improve their business workflows and allow them to manage their Learning Management System (LMS) more efficiently. We’re looking for someone like you to support the technology that supports national security.

You’ll play a role in the complex development, design, and documentation of both “out of the box” and module and plugin development CMS frameworks. Together with a team of experts, you’ll help build integrated solutions from scratch, as well as implement customizable features like modules to enhance existing systems and workflows. You’ll also support site maintenance and have the chance to engage with Moodle.

You Have:

·       5+ years of experience with developing and maintaining web-based applications, including PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

·       3+ years of experience with Moodle administration, customization, and plugin development

·       Knowledge of web development frameworks, including Laravel or CodeIgniter

·       Ability to translate customer requirements into application designs and systems requirements

·       Secret clearance

·       HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

·       Experience with Moodle v3.5 or higher

·       Experience with version control systems, including Git

·       Experience with API development and integration

·       Knowledge of database management systems, including MySQL or PostgreSQL

·       DoD 8570 IAT II/III Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
