Remote Work:
Job Number:
San Antonio,TX,US
Release Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the DoD? What if you could find a position that is tailor-made for your mix of development, engineering, and communication skills? Efficient software development teams make the most of their time by limiting the activities that take developers away from writing their code. That’s why we need you, an experienced DevOps engineer, to help us shorten the time it takes to get critical tools developed.

As a DevOps engineer on our team, you’ll contribute to modernization efforts to incorporate monitoring, automation, and container orchestration tools to increase the scalability and availability of a large, complex lab-based development environment. You will leverage DevSecOps expertise to incorporate modern software development approaches and tools to achieve higher team velocity through the prototyping, development, testing, and release lifecycles. You'll ensure an Infrastructure as Code (IAC) mindset first and incorporate continuous monitoring to ensure a secure development environment is maintained. This is an opportunity to broaden your experience in software engineering while helping to develop software that will completely transform workflows and make a real impact. Here, we invest in technology—and we’ll invest in you. With access to continuing education resources, tuition assistance opportunities, and tech development programs, you’ll keep your skills sharp as you work at the leading edge of tech. In this role, we are looking for a generalist who can support the deployment, troubleshooting, configuration, and interoperability of systems and software. Work with us as we build and test tools to transform the future.

  • Experience with automating the build and release management process using Jenkins, including monitoring changes between releases

  • Ability to write, debug, and maintain scripts in bash or Perl

  • Ability to forward plan the release windows, scope, and roadblocks across the integrated platform and product teams

  • TS/SCI clearance

Nice If You Have:

  • Ability to collaborate with project managers and developers to refine interaction design

  • Ability to update the team about information architecture and UI issues

  • Ability to work closely with project managers, system administrators, QA Analysts, DBAs, and Development teams during the development, test, and launch phases of the software development life cycle

  • Ability to configure and release application and website code into QA and Production environments
