Aviation Operations Analyst, Mid

As an Aviation Operations Analyst, you ask questions others don’t. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We’re looking for someone like you to help create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.

As an Aviation Operations Analyst, you’ll bring your background to projects supporting the development of naval mine countermeasures. You’ll plan and observe exercises, perform acoustic modeling, design data collection plans, and collect data during exercises to support post-exercise reconstruction and analysis. You’ll help identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes to assist in developing Aviation mine countermeasures doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures.

You Have:  

  • 3+ years of experience in aviation mine countermeasures (AMCM)

  • 3+ years of experience planning Naval exercises including mine countermeasures tactical-level planning

  • Experience in Navy aircraft data collection, including drafting data collection plans, data extraction, and post-mission analysis

  • Experience in operating and employing specific aviation mine countermeasures systems

  • Knowledge of analytical tools for acoustic predictions  

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including locations within and outside the United States and at sea on Navy ships  

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED  

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience modeling acoustic environments

  • Experience drafting messages in standard Navy message formats

  • Experience with Mine Warfare Environmental Decision Aide Library (MEDAL), MINEnet, Personal Computer Interactive Multi-Sensor Analysis Training (PCIMAT), Environmental Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace (EIPB), and Navy Coastal Ocean Model (NCOM) systems

  • Experience drafting test plans for naval experimentation

  • Knowledge of mine countermeasure tactical publications

  • Ability to develop technical documents in support of exercise planning, execution, reconstruction, and analysis

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
