Growth Lead

Key Role:

Serve as a key growth lead engaging with program managers and market leaders to shape business opportunities for work across the Navy and Marine Corps. Identify mission critical work and suitable contracts to execute tactical sales, pursue contracts, and identify whitespace for new capabilities and emerging mission needs. Lead major capture efforts from start to finish and support business staff in priority captures. Guide market teams on the capture process and business development efforts. Coordinate large-scale proposal efforts and firm-wide initiatives, aimed at driving business growth. Work with business leaders to build addressable market and technical solutions for priority account opportunities. Support negotiations with industry partners to build teams in support of large complex procurements. Lead competitive intelligence, market assessments, client assessments, and strategic planning efforts in support of expanding client-based opportunity portfolios and pipeline. Develop an in depth understanding of client requirements and buying patterns to assist market teams in developing contracting options and technical solutions. Manage key stakeholder relationships and keep the business leadership team informed and engaged in advancing strategic partnerships with clients and industry partners.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with the DoD

  • 5+ years of experience performing business development or growth duties in the Federal market

  • Experience establishing internal and external customer relationships in the government and industry communities

  • Experience with the execution of all phases of large and multi-year capture efforts, including capture planning, shaping, teaming, proposals, competitive, and price-to-win analyses

  • Ability to engage with key client stakeholders to discuss firm capabilities and services on several large-scale projects, including driving new ceiling creation

  • Ability to lead teams and stakeholders throughout the capture process

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to develop processes and content to support the business development life cycle and solution selling methodologies

  • Ability to communicate multi-step and interdependent activities effectively to capture teams and ensure efficient execution of captured efforts

  • Ability to effectively communicate and interface with senior leadership, mentor junior staff and peers on business development and capture processes, and develop job aids for business development functions

  • Ability to support pipeline development, market segmentation, capture process development, and other related enterprise sales functions

  • Completion of Shipley, APMP, Lohfeld, or similar capture processes training

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
