Supply Chain IT Solutions Architect

The Opportunity:

As an Enterprise Architect - Supply Chain, you will have the opportunity to drive EA activities with a ‘business outcome’ lens and build and evolve a business technology strategy in Supply Chain. You will lead the development of IT strategies and roadmaps to drive investments in enterprise capabilities, establish application and technology portfolio management processes and tools, and identify opportunities to digitize business processes and experience.

Additionally, you will lead architecture governance, technology standards processes and reference architecture development, evaluate business, information, application, and technology views of the solutions and identify risks.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage the architecture for a broader scope of products platforms while working closely with application architects
  • Lead the implementation and integration of technical architecture across a product group based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, and business requirements.
  • Define and ensure adherence to guidelines, standards. and solution patterns to secure product-based decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision
  • Ensure delivery of architecture patterns that effectively leverage data foundation assets and incorporate API led designs
  • Designs and direct the governance activities associated with ensuring product architecture assurance and compliance
  • Facilitate and execute Proof of concepts, a close collaboration with DevOps and suppliers to secure that the value planned will be delivered in the most optimal way.
  • Supervise the design and integration within the scope of the Supply Chain
  • Apply up-to-date technical acumen and maintain awareness of emerging technologies and technology trends with the ability to apply them to proposed solutions and evolving business needs and opportunities
  • Propose architecture solutions that consider technical debt, current business needs, future-state business capabilities, needs that line up to the organizational mission and goal, consider multiple solutions without bias
  • Drives the delivery of documented end to end business blueprints including identifying a design approach which delivers against business needs in support of integrated projects and programs.
  • Helps identify product evolution and backlog needs and assists in the planning of the backlog, identifying and integrating the needed business communities in the definition of user stories as well as measure of success
  • Identifies and brings collaboration between respective products to support points of integration needs, both within Supply Chain and across dependent end to end streams

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience with IT and Supply Chain

  • 3+ years of experience in solution design and development for at least two Supply Chain domains such as Customer Service, Demand Supply Planning, Global Logistics, and Procurement

  • 2+ years of experience working in an Agile, DevOps environment

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience architecting solutions in supply chain

  • Experience with cloud and hybrid cloud frameworks

  • Knowledge of current business trends

  • Ability to work on complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors

  • Ability to be process-oriented with high attention to detail in exercising judgement to determine appropriate methods and actions

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technology

  • Ability to follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills

  • Possession of excellent problem solving and root cause analysis skills

  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
