Key Role:
Provide expert recommendations and support to our Army clients exercise division in leading long-range and near-term planning, guidance and execution, operational assessment (OA) for division and corps, and theater-level exercises throughout the Indo-Pacific region. Coordinate with higher headquarters and other services, functional, and component planners on long-range plans and analyze command and control. Conduct mission analysis, including staff estimates, courses of action, and decision support templates for campaign and contingency plans. Participate in or facilitate Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), bureaus, boards, cells, conferences, and working group events, information paper development, operational and strategic assessments, and response to or creation of Requests for Information (RFIs), and After-Action Review (AAR). Support other initiatives and requirements, including organizational assessment and input to higher headquarters. Contribute to the synchronization of objectives, activities, and investments (OAI) in a matrix organization with multiple functional areas and provide written reports and briefs to senior military audiences. This position requires international travel up to 25% of the time and non-standard working hours.
Basic Qualifications:
15+ years of experience with military operations as a Senior Grade Field Officer
7+ years of experience with tactical or operational planning at the division, corps, or theater level
Experience with exercise planning in the Indo-Pacific Theater
Experience with the five stages of the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC)
Knowledge of multi-domain operations (MDO) concepts
Ability to travel internationally
Ability to work non-standard hours
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in the Joint environment
Experience with the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP)
Knowledge of the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) and the Army Training Information Management System (ARTIM
Army War College or joint, or service equivalent Graduate Certification
