Strategic and Operational Planner

Key Role:

Provide input to orders, policies, and programs directing activities for Army and Joint EOD, technical exploitation, and EH mitigation. Conduct mission analysis, including staff estimates, courses of action, and decision support templates for campaign and contingency plans. Coordinate with a Combatant Command (COCOM), service component commands, and interagency stakeholders to properly plan and resource strategic and operational requirements. Participate in or facilitate Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), Bureaus, Boards, Cells, Conferences, and Working Groups (B2C2WG), information paper development, operations order development, operational and strategic assessments, and response to or creation of Requests for Information (RFIs). Participate in the review and analysis of policy, processes, and systems facilitating operational to strategic level exploitation of Captured Enemy Material (CEM). Support other requirements, such as security cooperation planning and organizational assessments. Contribute to the synchronization of operations, activities, and investments across multiple functional areas within a matrix organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working at the Service HQ or DoD level
  • 3+ years of experience working on C-IED or EOD programs or activities
  • Experience with urgent operational needs
  • Experience with Unified Exploitation and Collected Exploitable Material
  • Knowledge of Army Counter Unmanned Aerial System Operations
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) or Joint Planning
  • Experience with JOPES
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of EOD, Site Exploitation (SE), or Weapons Technical Intelligence (WTI) plans and policies

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
