The Opportunity:

Are you an interested in a Data Architect role looking to shift the way the world works? Then we are looking for someone like you to be a Data Architect with expertise leading the development of modern, cloud based enterprise data architectures that support business operations, advanced analytics, business intelligence and data science initiatives within the federal government. You'll use your foundation in technologies with AWS tech stack (Redshift, Glue, etc.), Databricks, Spark, Pyramid Analytics, and SAS. In this role, you'll lead the design and implementation of data architecture(s) that support the organization's business operations, data analytics and data science needs. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data availability, reliability, and performance while adhering to best practices and industry standards. You will drive to establish processes and lead technological innovation, and you’ll make a lasting impact on the healthcare industry.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture including with AWS tech stack such as S3, RDS, RedShift, or Glue, Databricks, Spark, Pyramid Analytics, and SAS
  • Experience in data modeling, data pipeline processes, and data warehousing, and problem-solving and communication
  • Experience in data governance and data security best practices
  • Experience with feature delivery and understanding the tradeoffs of a solution or product
  • Experience with applying Agile Methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
  • Knowledge of data technologies and tools, including open source
  • Knowledge on appropriate implementation of security measures and access controls to protect sensitive data
  • Ability to provide thought-leadership to clients across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology


Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience in establishing data quality standards and procedures to identify and rectify data anomalies and inconsistencies
  • Experience in overseeing creation and maintenance of metadata repositories that document data lineage, data definitions, and data transformation processes
  • Ability to support the definition of data models, schemas, and data dictionaries to support data integration, analytics, and reporting requirements within a medallion architecture
  • Ability to support data governance processes that maintain data quality, security, and compliance
  • Ability to work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements
  • Ability to be accountable for ensuring the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches client technical and functional requirements, and commits to client success
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Databricks, SAS, or related technologies certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
