Computer Vision Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:  

What if you could use your Machine Learning and Computer Vision background to transform high-risk, high-reward scientific research programs? As a Machine Learning and Computer Vision professional, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to helping shape and guide advanced research programs for the Intelligence Community. We’re looking for expertise in the development of image and video analytics, experience with research and development of image processing, and computer vision to help Program Managers run successful research programs. 

Our team of scientists provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance support to programs that have the potential to provide our nation with an overwhelming intelligence advantage. That’s why we need you, a Machine Learning and Computer Vision expert, who specializes in the development of image and video analytics, experience with research and development of image processing, and computer vision to help us advise our clients work with research partners that come from Academia, other research institutions, and private industry. You’ll work hand in hand with the Government Program Manager to deliver technical support and expertise on new concepts beyond the Program but integral to the Program’s success. We’ll look to you to share your Machine Learning and Computer Vision expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. Join us and take on exciting challenges in the Intelligence Community. 

You Have:

  • Experience with scripting languages, including Python, Java, or C++

  • Experience with research and development of image processing and computer vision

  • Experience as a software engineer

  • Experience with managing a multi-disciplinary research and development team or a test and evaluation team

  • Experience with research and development of machine learning or deep neural network algorithms

  • Experience with technical evaluation and assessment techniques

  • Experience with Agile program management and systems development processes, including integrated testing

  • Experience with large systems software design and development, integration support, systems or software development projects, visualization, test driven development, automated unit testing, and data configuration management 

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science with 12+ years of experience in Engineering, or Master's degree with 8+ years of experience in Engineering

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with computer vision and deep learning software packages, including PyTorch, OpenCV, or TensorFlow

  • Experience with utilization, development, and management of commercial cloud environments

  • Experience in remote sensing, image compression, enhancement of noisy and degraded imagery and metadata, including optical sensor Integration, classified research, probability and operations research, statistical analysis, or neural radiance field modeling 

  • Experience with integrating commercial software tools for custom application development

  • Experience with machine learning, signal and imaging processing, algorithm development, or computer vision

  • Experience in the Intelligence Community

  • Experience with requirements, CONOPS, and transition

  • Experience with creating program plans, work breakdown structures, and milestone schedules

  • Ability to provide technical oversight and leadership

  • Doctorate degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
