Graphics Designer, Senior

Key Role:

Research, design, and prototype the look and feel of both digital and non-digital products, making products more intuitive, easy to use, and aesthetically pleasing for the user. Apply advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members. Provide 2D and 3D visualizations and Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) support, perform intelligence product formatting and presentation support, and apply technical expertise and support to portray, publish, and share the critical layers of data and key analysis of network nodes, vulnerabilities, and overall network structure. Assist with the generation of the full range of NGA geospatial intelligence products using a suite of professional graphic production and publishing software. 

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with graphic design or visual communications

-Experience with the full functionality of Adobe Master Collection CS5 graphic design software and designing products for print and web publication

-Experience in developing and implementing creative visual and strategic solutions from scientific presentations, websites, and online productivity tools

-Experience with Microsoft Software tools

-Active TS/SCI clearance required; willingness to take a polygraph exam

-BA or BS degree or 3 years of experience with graphic design in lieu of a Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with designing, developing, and delivering visualization products of large datasets on software, including Tableau

-Experience with a multitude of visualization software packages

-Experience with using SQL queries

-Experience in working with Spatial Database Engines (SDEs) and publishing web graphics 

-Experience with infographics and data visualization

-Experience with multimedia and Web design

-Knowledge of information architecture and usability

-Ability to use visualization tools, including Tableau to publish data

-Possession of excellent presentation, interpersonal, customer support, and collaboration skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-MA or MS degree
