Strategic Communications Specialist, Senior

Key Role:
Provide organizational and mass communications consulting to organizational leaders, members, and stakeholders at unclassified and classified levels. Provide analytical support for the development of briefings, talking points, and key messages and write articles or newsletters for an internal audience. Research, write, edit, and prepare communications products, including print, web, electronic, and briefings for internal and external publication. Perform baseline assessments, design a communications approach or plan, and develop products and vehicles to support the approach. Analyze customer needs and make appropriate recommendations for tailoring messages and information, communication methods to use, and timing of messages by target audience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 11+ years of experience with supporting the Intelligence Community (IC)

  • Experience with supporting senior government officials under tight deadlines

  • Experience with producing high-quality written products for various channels

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to gather information and synthesize it into presentable deliverables for the client

  • Ability to plan, develop, coordinate, and facilitate workforce engagement events, including all-hands, ceremonies, and brown bags, as needed

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in the strategic communications field or speechwriting, including change management, content development, Web strategy, and implementation planning

  • Experience with writing and editing material in a journalistic style for publication on the Web and workforce messages and newsletters

  • Experience with Web content management systems, including SharePoint

  • Experience with social media marketing

  • Knowledge of GEOINT, including its functions, products, and technologies

  • Possession of excellent data gathering and analytical skills

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,000.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
