The Opportunity:

As a data architect, you know how to apply your creative-thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations manage their data assets. We’re looking for an experienced data architect like you to deliver leading-edge solutions for the Department of the Navy.   

As a data architect on our Department of Defense team, you’ll use your extensive technical expertise to design data architecture solutions for developing and maintaining data architectures in a cloud environment. You’ll resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by providing recommendations for migrating from legacy environments to digital modern cloud environments.

In this role, you’ll grow your technical expertise, apply best practices, and use data modeling tools and software to create enterprise data access and management. You’ll guide your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests cloud solution components, and you’ll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are delivered.

You Have:   

  • 7 years of experience addressing the current state data impediments, collect data requirements across multiple platforms, and assess potential solutions to address enterprise data access, management, and use of real-time data for decision making

  • 7 years of experience with business process reengineering, business process assessment, or business architectural development

  • 7 years of experience in data management, transformation, and migration using cloud data management pipelines, technologies, or open-source tools

  • 7 years of experience developing and maintaining data architectures levering industry and DoD best practices and approaches

  • Experience using Cameo Systems Modeler

  • Secret clearance  

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering   

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience supporting Marine Corps or Navy programs

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and collaborating with the Application Development and Architecture Team

  • Experience with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or similar architecture framework

Clearance:   

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
