Data and AI Policy Analyst, Senior

The Opportunity:

When our country's military is modernizing to meet new challenges, simply reacting is not enough--we need a plan. And when that plan needs to support an entire Joint Combatant Command's Area of Responsibility (AOR), we need strategic policy analysis. That's why we need you, a senior data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) policy specialist with the expertise required to analyze the policies that determine our pathways to successful modernization.

As a data and AI strategic planning consultant on our team, you'll employ your finely-honed expertise to research existing policy and assist on changes or wholly new policies to address risks, gaps, and inefficiencies. You’ll evaluate how policies stack up to regulations, best practices, and industry standards. You'll run working groups to gather and collate information as inputs to policy, then contribute to implementation workshops as part of policy roll-out. You'll also facilitate external studies in support of these goals and define metrics for policy evaluation. Finally, you'll persuade others to act on the information you provide to improve clarity and efficacy of policy governing such areas as data governance, data literacy, organizational data readiness, and the responsible use of AI and related technologies.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing U.S. Government policy
  • Experience briefing and interacting with senior Department of Defense (DoD) personnel
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with DoD policies concerning data governance and AI
  • Experience managing groups or meetings in the DoD
  • Experience creating or using metrics to evaluate progress towards achievement of goals and objectives
  • Possession of excellent organization skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,600.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
