Exercise Planner, Senior

Key Role:

Perform as a Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) planner and scenario developer and leverage experience in the integration of Joint Fires. Conduct client-directed planning and support to Joint Exercise Program (JEP) events, including detailed analysis of Joint Mission Essential Tasks (JMET)-based training objectives. Develop exercise control design and architecture, facilitate and lead scenario development and execution, and provide post exercise analysis for future Joint exercise development. Supervise and assist with the development of the Master Scenario Event List for Joint exercises. Assist with the development of senior leader tabletop exercises, including the execution of event and after-action reporting. Observe test and evaluation field operations and events to ensure that the data collected addresses measure of performance (MOP) and measure of effectiveness (MOE). Conduct test planning and scheduling to help government project leads prepare for tabletop exercises (TTX) and field-test events.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience as an exercise analyst

-3+ years of experience with Joint exercise planning at the service component or combatant commander levels

-Experience with Joint operations, military to military activities, security cooperation events, multi and bi-lateral Title 10 exercises, or military exercise order development

-Knowledge of manning, organization, deployment, mission assurance, employment, support, sustainment, or redeployment of Marine Forces in support of crisis response and contingency operations

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree or an additional 5+ years of experience as an exercise analyst in lieu of a degree

-Completion of specialized education in Military Joint Operation Planning through the JPME I

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in the EUCOM and AFRICOM AOR

-Experience with the Global Theater Security Cooperation Management Information System (GTSCMIS) software

-Knowledge of the Joint Training Information Management System and a Joint Training Program

-Knowledge of Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) concepts

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree

-Graduate of Advanced Military Studies School or Service equivalent
