HUMINT Desk Officer

Key Role:

Design, develop, and execute solutions in support of intelligence organizations, missions, or processes. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members. Serve as a HUMINT operations planner in support of enduring and developing operational initiatives for Joint, coalition, and interagency operations. Apply subject matter expertise, advice, and support for planning, coordination, and implementation of both collection activities and time-sensitive opportunities. Coordinate HUMINT operations and capability building requirements with staff sections, Combat Support Agencies (CSAs), service components, host nation, partner nations, coalitions, and interagency partners. Draft plans and operational proposals, including requirements, plans, orders, and tasking documents. Provide specialized operational and technical support to SOF, sensitive activities, and intelligence operations. Develop and present briefings to facilitate HUMINT initiatives for operations and special projects or programs. Monitor activities conducted in support of current and contingency operations while coordinating external U.S. and Allied HUMINT support.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience conducting, enabling, or directly supporting OPE and UW operations  
  • 3+ years of experience working on a J2X, J3X, or J39 staff at a TSOC, JTF, or Combatant Command
  • Knowledge of DoD HUMINT policy, directives, and doctrine
  • Knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)  
  • Knowledge of IW and UW policy, directives, and doctrine   
  • TS/SCI clearance 
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience providing clandestine intelligence support to SOF and special activities   
  • Experience conducting or supporting personnel recovery 
  • Experience working with NATO or allied partners 
  • Experience with use of intelligence automated systems  
  • Knowledge of the intelligence community missions, functions, and interrelationships  
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Graduate of ASOT-C, MAGTF CI HUMINT, DATC, ASOC, AMSOC, FTC, or OTC Course

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
