Strategy Analyst

Key Role: 

Provide on-site strategy support to the European Command (EUCOM). Support the Strategy Division as a strategy analyst responsible for analyzing, coordinating, and implementing Combatant Command (CCMD) strategies and processes. Develop client-ready deliverables for General Officers on key strategic topics, including briefs, information papers, talking points, scene setters, memorandums, and strategic documents. Facilitate senior leader participation in Joint Staff, CCMD, and Interagency meetings to advocate on behalf of Command equities and promote priority talking points. Conduct outreach with other organizations to develop coordinated positions, talking points, and products. Provide subject matter expertise and recommended command positions for key national security topics in the European Area of Responsibility (AOR). Analyze and recommend changes to JS and EUCOM strategy, and guidance documents to support EUCOM objectives and priorities. Work as a detail-oriented self-starter in a fast-paced environment without considerable direction and take the initiative to develop, recommend, and implement innovative solutions to complex problems. 

Basic Qualifications:  

  • 3+ years of experience at a DoD Service-level headquarters, Component, CCMD, Joint Staff, or Interagency level
  • 3+ years of experience in strategy, planning, or policy
  • Experience with national security challenges in the European theater
  • Knowledge of the National Defense Strategy and National Military Strategy
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Foreign Policy, Security Studies, Political Science, or European Affairs

Additional Qualifications:  

  • 3+ years of experience with European Studies or the regional plans problem set
  • Experience with writing and coordinating executive-level products for General Officers and Flag Officers
  • Experience with working individually and as part of a team to develop collaborative solutions to shared problems
  • Experience with facilitating working groups and meetings with diverse organizations
  • Knowledge of project management processes, ensuring on-time delivery of complex deliverables, including plans of action and milestones (POA&M)
  • Knowledge of the Joint planning process
  • Ability to work independently and produce client-ready written products with little or no direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Master's degree in International Relations, Foreign Policy, Security Studies, Political Science, European Affairs

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
