As a Army Modernization Systems Architect on our team, you have the chance to shape an Army command by leading a System of Systems (SoS) engineering effort by assisting with their ability to quickly and efficiently field combat capabilities. The Army has assigned their best and brightest, both military and civilian, to be these change agents. Everything about the command designed for free-thinking, non-traditional ideations from the location in the non-military tech hub of Austin, TX to an environment of open and airy office space down to the total lack of military uniforms. But the single biggest innovation focuses on breaking traditional barriers that hinder and delay the fielding of capabilities. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions.

On our team, you’ll be able to serve as an Army Modernization Systems (SoS) architect to analyze the development of SoS architecture products, processes, and policies. Develop system interface architectures and standards and incorporate model-based systems engineering (MBSE) as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT).  Analyze integrated system or capability schedules for accuracy, completeness, feasibility and contribute to Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) builds. Identify cross-cutting technical and programmatic risks across organizational boundaries and constituent systems. Support a mix of existing and new systems into an SoS capability while applying your knowledge of Systems Engineering (SE) principles. Leverage mission engineering principles to integrate data gathered from stakeholder organizations into SoS architecture products, use cases, capability views, system views, and other architectural views using modeling tool such as Magic Draw. Support Army modernization efforts in laboratory and field environments, leading to the fielding of capabilities. You Have:

-5+ years of experience with systems architecture projects or systems architecture development

-Experience with DoD Architecture and Frameworks (DoDAF) policy

-Ability to work independently

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with Modular Open System Approach (MOSA) design

-Experience with MBSE

-Experience with MagicDraw

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-MA or MS degree in Engineering preferred
