Regional Engagements Analyst

Key Role:

Advise and assist staff in all aspects of deliberate planning and foreign partner engagement, providing support by updating regional engagement plans, campaign plans and orders, and country engagement plans. Create and maintain Key Leader Engagement (KLE) plans for INDOPACOM partners and allies, conducting analysis and recommending solutions in all aspects of Security Cooperation and maintaining Key Leader relationships. Provide analysis and recommendations to the staff and leadership on the Operational Environment and the social, economic, political, and military dynamics of Southeast Asia and the countries and geographic features inside the First Island Chain. Advise, participate, and represent the client in Regional Engagement meetings, conferences, working groups, and operational planning teams (OPTs). Provide cross functional staff coordination to synchronize directives and initiatives into Operations Actives and Investments (OAI). Prepare and deliver PowerPoint briefings, buck slips, point papers, and information papers and KLE talking points for primary staff and command leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience conducting Operations and Planning in the INDOPACOM area of responsibility
  • 2+ years of experience in planning, preparation, and coordination with adjacent components and higher headquarters commands
  • Experience in the Marine Corps Planning Process and the Joint Planning Process as a staff officer
  • Experience in international relations, working directly with INDOPACOM allies and partners and senior U.S. officers
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps doctrine, organization, and operational concepts
  • Knowledge of Force Design 2030 changes to force structure and emerging capabilities, and its effects on deployment and employment
  • Knowledge of Stand in Force operational concept and employment
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex international relations topics to senior leaders and their respective staffs both verbally and in writing, and to work with senior level staff members
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Foreign Area Officer (FAO) in the INDOPACOM area of operations
  • Ability to read, write, listen, and speak in the Japanese language
  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, or a related field
  • Graduate of School of Advanced Warfighting, Naval War College, or other professional level program

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
