Strategic Communications Analyst

Key Role:

Provide analysis support of the client’s effects from public messaging and other means of Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAI) to inform planning, design, timing, location, and other decisions for tactical and operational level military operations in the Indo-Pacific Region with allies and partners. Participate in unilateral and bilateral coordination and planning of OAIs to ensure intended effects are achieved. Provide analysis in various formats and utilize various analytic software, research techniques, and sources. Provide timely and regular analysis with quantifiable data and manage to utilize standardized Information Management processes. Inform the development and maintenance of regional engagement plans. Support the development of talking points and speeches for senior military personnel and Key Leader Engagements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in public affairs and strategic communications

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365

  • Knowledge of military organization and culture

  • Ability to research and summarize media sources and provide comprehensive reports to staff primaries

  • Ability to use media analytic software which provides quantifiable measures of Communications and Strategy (COMMSTRAT) efforts

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience on a general officer level staff in the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility

  • Ability to compile media reports and analytic software reports into comprehensive and easy-to-understand assessments that inform future COMMSTRAT planning

  • Ability to brief coherently and write clearly

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
