Fires Coordinator and Targeting Analyst

The Opportunity:

The era of Great Power Competition requires superior analytical rigor to maintain strategic advantage over peer adversaries. Your analytical experience and insight into the Joint Targeting cycle will provide the client with critical products necessary to formulate a joint fires support through the iterations of the joint planning and execution processes in support of joint fires world-wide. As a Fires Coordinator and Targeting Senior Consultant, you will provide the client with scheme of fires to coordinate and synchronize the use of state of the art tactical, operational, and strategic fires capabilities. The client will demand expert consultation to match and integrate appropriate effects based joint fires capabilities to validated targets to achieve the preferred effects and outcomes. Your skillful tradecraft gives the client a full range of kinetic and non-kinetic firing options to employ proactively, and shape the environment, while bolstering Offensive Space Control (OSC) and terrestrial fires.

As a Fires Coordinator and Targeting Senior Consultant, your routine will consist of providing the client with “find, fix, track, target, engage, and assess” (F2T2EA) methodologies for OSC and terrestrial targeting with specified employment measures. Additionally, you will monitor asset locations and operational status to ensure fire synchronization, deconfliction, and availability. Your responsibilities include maintaining and updating client webpage and databases daily with targeting and fires estimates and current Flexible Response Options. These products will ensure that the client has the capabilities to create lethal and nonlethal effects to meet operational requirements. You will interact with decision makers across the space intelligence community and operational echelons, providing targeting and fires deliverables to meet client requirements. Daily duties include but are not limited to—Joint Target Working Group and Joint Target Coordination Board products, Flexible Response and Deterrence Options development, the drafting of Joint Integrated Prioritized Target Lists, Synchronization Matrixes, and daily space intelligence products. You will provide monthly board inputs to the client on asset deployment posture and status of embedded systems within specified time periods and geographic areas of responsibility with a global perspective. The client will benefit from your bottom-up target development and fires synchronization to increase speed, agility, and precision of fires to clearly articulate “fight-tonight” readiness. You Have:  

  • 6+ years of experience in Joint- or service-level fires or targeting roles

  • Experience with targeting fundamentals, including BTD, ITD, and ATD and the Joint Targeting Cycle

  • Experience in accessing intelligence databases and collaborating with Intelligence agencies

  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and briefing templates

  • Experience with briefing and knowledge management

  • Knowledge of Joint Fires

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience with non-lethal effects targeting and Space Electronic Warfare

  • Experience with Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB), Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT), and JIRA

  • Experience with SPF113-105, JP3-09, JP3-60, JP3-14, JP 3-89, CJCSI 3370, or CJCSM 3108

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
