Logistics Readiness Planner

The Opportunity:

As a defense mission professional, you’ll bring your Logistics Readiness background to join our team and provide expert support in logistics management for the command. As a Logistics Readiness Planner, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing logistics strategies and policies in alignment with command objectives. You will advise the command on the management of resource allocation, including equipment, and budget resources, to support mission requirements. You will assist in the coordination of logistics support with other military services, government agencies, and international partners. You will utilize logistics information systems such as JOPES, TPFDD, and DRRS Reporting for decision-making and performance optimization. You will apply subject matter expertise to the development of contingency plans and readiness exercises for crisis response. You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics planning, distribution management, materiel management and planning contingency operations
  • 5+ years of experience coordinating logistics support with other military services or government agencies
  • Experience with logistics planning resources including Joint Publication 4-0
  • Experience with JOPES, TPFDD, and DRRS Reporting systems
  • Ability to apply subject matter expertise to a Command's analysis and development of logistics strategies and analyze policies in alignment with command objectives
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience in coordinating and facilitating military logistics at the Service or Field level command operations
  • Experience in Space Operations
  • Knowledge of U.S. Space Force and U.S. Space Command operations
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent leadership skills
  • Possession of excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Graduate from the Basic Logistics Officer Course or Department of Defense service equivalent
  • Advanced training or certifications in military logistics planning, operations, or related fields

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
